This is our most popular oak veneered set with stops on the board and a smooth riding cork covered solid pine roller. Stops allow a certain level of safety and control on the nose and tail. They limit (but don't stop) the possibility of the board flying out from under your feet.
Balance boards are a great way of training or rebuilding your balance, core strength, posture and coordination, commonly recommended by physiotherapists for low-impact training and core strengthening.
Handmade and finished in our 100% wind-powered workshop in Cornwall, our real oak veneered balance board, complete with cork-lined wooden roller really is a treat for any home or gym. Designed to be used barefoot or with comfy trainers.
Due to the natural materials used, each board has its own unique pattern and style. Its a luck of the draw which one you get (check the gallery for some examples) but don't worry, not only is every board unique but we make sure to select the coolest looking parts of each sheet we use. So they are all awesome in their own way. You are more than welcome to come to the workshop to choose one in person.
Our rollers are specially made to be slightly larger than most, at approx 125mm diameter. We have tried and tested many different sizes and anything below 120mm we found to be just a little too small. Which means we lathe our own custom sizes and then wrap them in 4mm of high density cork. So, our rollers are a little special and not like most, with most others measuring closer too 10cm - 4" which we found to be a little too small. So before you decide which set to buy, check for roller sizes.
