Surfboard artwork collaboration: Predn x Jannali in aid of Beach Guardian

Surfboard artwork collaboration: Predn Surf Co x Jannali Hepple

Just wow... That's how we feel every time we see this Predn Tàs mini mal with graphics by world-renowned tattoo artist Jannali Hepple. We auctioned off the beautiful, wood-veneered surfboard in October 2021, donating 10% of profits to local conservation heroes Beach Guardian.

The board itself is one of our classic shapes, the Predn Tàs (meaning 'Daddy' in Cornish) - a 7'10" mini mal. Like all our Predn boards, the deck is reinforced with super thin marine ply, giving it both added durability and a resplendent wooden aesthetic. This unique number is decorated with a giant chrysanthemum.

Jannali, or @j_nooodle as she's known to her 62k Instagram followers, lives in a caravan in Cornwall, and specialises in floral art.

"This collaboration with me and Predn Surf Co has been in the pipeline for quite a while," she says. "And I'm so stoked to show you guys the final result! Isn't it f**king beautiful? Pete and the crew have done such a good job with the board and I bet it's so fun to ride!"

The auction concluded at midnight on the 31st October, with the lucky Miss Warner stealing an absolute bargain at just £650!

Ten per cent of profits were donated to Beach Guardian, a local CIC that organises beach cleans and community workshops in the seven bays area of North Cornwall, which includes all our local spots: Porthcothan, Treyarnon, Constantine, Booby's, Mother Ivy's, Harlyn and Trevone.

Beach Guardian consistently punch above their weight when it comes to educating and empowering adults and schoolchildren alike to look after their coastal surroundings, and we're delighted to support their work.

We love to work with local artists on unique graphics, as well as drawing some custom illustrations ourselves. If you're a local artist interested in a collab, or if you want some custom graphics on your next eco-board, you better get in touch!
