It is not glassed over and gets grippy when wet, thus does not need waxing. Ever. Just give it a little rub with sand from your local break (when wet) every now and again and it will keep going. Not only is it made of much nicer things. Cork, real wood veneer base, recycled or biomass eps, flax and bio epoxies.
