Predn Bobba Surfboard. Shortboard.
The Bobba is a high volume shortboard designed for ease of paddling and high wave count. It adores smaller waves, but can still hold its own on bigger swells, due to its speed. It’s ideal for someone moving down in size from a mini mal, or the experienced surfer looking for a small wave go-to board. It’s super lightweight and strong sustainable construction. Hand crafted in North Cornwall, and the rocker, template and volume distribution are perfectly tweaked for ease of use and manoeuvrability. Especially in Cornish/UK (style) waves.
One off paint poured (usable) art piece, in collaboration with Tallulah Ward fine art.
This board is both usable as a surfboard or works as a fantastic wall piece. Or both! Keep it hung up on display while not in use.
Supplied full hanging furniture. We have some cool options to choose from and can even help out getting it on the wall, if you're in Cornwall.
Real wood veneered deck for flex and durability.

Predn construction
Predn, meaning 'wood' in Cornish, is our trademark construction, the one that best encapsulates our three pillars of performance, sustainability and accessibility. The super thin veneer (0.5mm) of your choice on the deck adds incredible toughness, practically eradicating compression dings, as well as a beautiful wooden aesthetic, each board having its own unique grain. The fin boxes are also reinforced with the same veneer as the deck. So with all these reinforcements in the right places, the Predn construction remains light, responsive and totally shreddable for much longer than any other performance board.
How is an eco surfboard built?
What is a sustainable surfboard?
Here is what we do...
All of our constructions use a biomass expanded polystyrene (EPS) core. Unlike traditional EPS ours are made from biomass taken from the waste of food production, like sticks and husks after everything useful has been taken. Which massively reduces our use of fossil fuels in the boards. Find more info on the foam here.
We glass our boards with high quality high bio content epoxies, which is less harmful, much stronger and longer lasting than traditional resins. We use Resin Research epoxies as they are super high quality with great properties and they are always striving to improve on sustainability and quality. Always with an increasing bio content.
This coupled with the biomass blanks and our use of natural fibres to replace glass and resins, means our boards are some of the most sustainable boards available. Made with an extremely low percentage of crude oil.
We hand-make our leash plugs using Cornish applewood and a stainless steel pin, which ages beautifully without losing its integrity. All our boards are hand-built with love and pride in our wind-powered workshop in Cornwall.
Delivery
Prices do not include delivery. As the cost of this is changing all the time we will have to arrange this once the order is completed, pick up from the shop is free and can be arranged for pretty much anytime. This is also the safest option, many a board has been broken in the back of a delivery van!
