The blanks will be ready for your arrival, ready to start work. Our method combines tradition with innovation, and all tools, materials, safety equipment and workshop space will be provided.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou should be comfortable using sanders, glassing and hand tools, and mixing resins - though \u003cstrong\u003efull training and guidance will be provided every step of the way\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a fairly intensive course, but also a \u003cstrong\u003eonce-in-a-lifetime experience\u003c\/strong\u003e where you get to create something beautiful and unique, and form new bonds along the way. All our tutors are in-house shapers who love what they do and love to share that with you.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe normally only take two trainees at a time, to ensure \u003cstrong\u003eeach participant receives our full attention\u003c\/strong\u003e. If there are more, there will be more teachers\/instructors. Bookings must be made at least one month in advance, with the full amount to be paid up front. A 60% refund can be given for any cancellations made up to 4 weeks after the booking is made. However dates can be fully flexible, with no extra charge.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAccommodation is not included in the course, so make sure to arrange this in good time. Quick health and safety briefing and workshop tour. Then on to glassing the base of your surfboard. \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" data-mce-style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eDay 2\u003c\/strong\u003e: Glue the wood veneer onto the deck of the board. \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" data-mce-style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eDay 3:\u003c\/strong\u003e Paint all the rails, add any artwork, fit fin boxes and glass the deck, all in one day. But don't worry, we're here to make sure it all goes smoothly.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" data-mce-style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eDay 4\u003c\/strong\u003e: Final layer of glass goes onto the base, plus all the hot coats (final resin layers).\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" data-mce-style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eDay 5-7\u003c\/strong\u003e (as needed): Sanding and polishing, refining your board to make it shipshape and shiny and ready for its final finishing touches!
